my sister in law gave all 3 books to my granddaughter for christmas about 5 years ago (or longer; cant remember that far back) there are 39 blocks/quilts altogether. we did find some of the flannel fabrics made specifically for the book...and the little girls and i picked out their favorite parts of the story and their favorite blocks. each granddaughter (3 of them) made their own 'quilt maker's gift story quilt' i have wanted to get a group of people together and do either a BOM or a row robin type project using these books, but have not so far been caught up with myself, or organized enough to get it going...one of these days :)

what a wonderful idea making a quiltmaker quilt with them. Sadly my older daughter just cannot sew (she is very artistic though), my 7 year old is special needs and facinated by the quilts, but terrified of using a sewing machine or a needle. My twin 5 year old boys love the quilts....maybe one of them will take up quilting.
