I think it is beatiful and you deserve every conpliment you received!! I love it! Trimming the other side to match is a great idea - it will still be great!!! What is the pattern?? I would like to make one, too!

"I thought it was supposed to be that way, it is now"
That's what I always say.
I love the colors, and I have that pattern, too. Haven't tried it yet.
Keep working at it, none of us is perfect.

Oh my goodness. Don't get all chewed up over it. This is small potatoes. Cut both sides evenly and forget about it. Once it's binded, you won't know the difference. Many of us are known to cover up "problem areas" with applique, and the quilt is actually better for it. Be creative and you'll have a perfect piece. Perfectly imperfect.

My sister taught me about "quilt magic" when I first started quilting... and I have probably used it in every quilt I have made! Line it up... cut it straight. You can do this!! I have made two of these table runners, and cannot for the life of me, get it the same on both ends. But they are sitting pretty in my house with a plant on one, and a vase on the other and they are beautiful... as is yours. Take pride in what you've done. We've all been there... Thank God for quilt magic... oh, and the people who look at our quilts from 10 ft. away on a galloping horse... ;) ...as they should. Finish up and go on to the next project... and put this in your "I've learned something new!" file.

I never line up a finished quilt on my cutting mat. You are being too hard on yourself. You need to just look at it and love it. Do not be so critical. It is a cool table runner

Don't be so hard on yourself. I have many projects that have not turned out exactly as I had planned. Ask yourself what you have learned from this experience and with that knowledge, finnish the table runner. When the holidays come place a delicious turkey on it and I promise everyone will rant and rave about your beautiful runner......
