I have the best husband in the world! He had a 28' x 28' sewing room (studio) added on to our house a little over a year ago. He got scared I would take over the whole house. LOL It was a total nightmare while it was being built, but that is another story. I am still trying to get things sorted out and situated. It has been difficult doing this with a new baby too.
I love my space though. It is right by the laundry room and a bathroom and not to far from the kitchen. I am trying to set up "stations" for my different crafts. I do scrap booking, sewing, and I have my quilt frame and my knitting machines. I am just doing a little at a time as time and money permit. Baby and diapers always come first. :-)

We have a 10x10 laundry room. I have my own adjustable height table, cabinets mounted on the walls for my stash -a file cabinet, rolling drawer unit and book shelves. Tubs with more fabric are stored under the table and batting is stored over the washer and dryer. I like it because I can close the door. And then there is the dining room table and the front porch for quilting and then there is the bedroom .....

Mine is currently in the extra bedroom with my computer. My grandaughter is moving in there in November so the computer is moving to my bedroom and the quilting projects are moving to the dining room. Its currently a very pretty walk-on-by room so I will use it and to heck with the threads on everything. (Actually I would move my quilting to the garage to have my grandaughter here!)

We have four bedrooms and no children left at home so I turned one bedroom into a sewing room with cutting table and another one for my quilting frame and fabric stash. Somedays i wish it was all one large room, but this works and both rooms have closets for supplies.

i use my kitchen. there's no table in there cause i have a pond where the table should be but there is lots of counterspace to work on although i find it irritating when i'm cooking because my sewing stuff has taken over. it's the only kid free space in the house other than the basement but i find it too creepy down there.

When our son moved out to go to college years ago I then had a sewing room. So it's so nice to be able to leave a project out and not have to pick up.

Mine is in the dining room also. As soon as we get a quilting frame, I will move to the back den so I can make quilts and hubby can watch t.v.

I am lucky enough to have a family room in the basement. My husband says that the fabric is overtaking the space (it is sort of).
