I just went to a great new shop in Overland Park, KS. It is called Fabric Recycles. It is just what the name implies, a "used" fabric store. The owner is a quilter and told me she is trying to make quilting and sewing affordable again. She will buy fabric, based on supply and demand, and either give you cash or store credit. She had some great fabrics as well as "sample packs" that were small packs of various size pieces in the same color group. There were also unfinished pieces that looked vintage to me ranging from already cut shapes to completed quilt tops and everything in between.

I think it is a great idea and really hope all the KC area quilters and visitors to the KC area will check it out! I didn't buy anything today but will definitely be back with some money! Or some fabric to trade for store credit!!!

It is in the shopping area at 93rd and Metcalf. Just down from Microcenter (if you are familiar with the area)

Wow, I like the idea of this type of store. Imagine what
a quilter might find there...............
