I see no reason that you couldn't. just make sure your "bits" are all in proportion.

great job. I did this pattern in 2007 for my grandson in Iraq and had it ready in 2008 when he was discharged. I remembered this pattern from my early childhood ( I started quilting at 11 yrs). I used the same measurements, the center block was made from outdoor scenes: deer, fishing, hiking, (he is a marathon runner), and patriotic scenes. He really loved the quilt, and has it with him at college. I quilted in the ditch, using a beige backing and brown variegated thread. the quilted pattern shows on the back. I was not on face book so I do not have a picture to show. happy quilting to all.

Thanks, Tippy. I'm not afraid of Churn Dash any more! Been wanting to make one. Do you have the tut in a format that can be printed out easily? I'd love to add it to my hints/tips binder.

At this point I don't .. but I'm discussing with more "techie" friends the possibility of making a booklet with some tutorials in them.. a pdf format is also a possibility.. I'll keep it in mind and let you know.. I'll talk to my sis.. she's a whiz at that stuff and let you know.

What a neat idea. I have some of that fabric and the panel. Now I want to dig it out and start a quilt.
