I'm thinking...

...Probably the floor tiling in the garden area of the Numara Palace in the game "Lost Odssey" for the XBox 360. It had a Double Wedding Ring-like design to it, but there was another DWR pattern underneath it so it was more like a Quadruple Wedding Ring. I did figure out how to get it into a working quilt block, but when I got to coloring it...didn't work out. But somehow out of that failure I got an idea for a variation on the DWR pattern (the one I posted with the scythe blade shaped pieces).

Whilst on holiday in Arizona we purchased a small hand-made tile about 3"square . It was a mountaon range or a sea scape (still not sure which)with an enormous setting sun. I took that to make a wall hanging for over our bed which is about 3.5ft x 6ft. Another was from a small postcard size picture in a Kitty Pippin book on Japanese quilting. It said it was a 42" square wall hanging and that was what I ended up with. And birthday cards - they are great - and the wonderful environment in which I live.

The throw rugs in my Mother's kitchen. I even drew it out and colored it on graph paper... I think we are all nuts - in a GOOD way!

A birthday card that my sis had sent me (years ago). AND I even have it made and hanging in my sewing room.

Sorry it is in black and white (original is in color), but I had copied it this way to blow it up at Kinkos. See the butterflies as the background.

Wall hanging inspired by a card. The background is Stack the Deck, all from my collection of butterfly fabric.

While waiting for a friend to order lunch, inspired by the pics on the wall. By the time she arrived 15 min. late had drawn out 4 applique quilts on napkins. Haven't made them yet, but still have the napkins.
