Rome wasn't built in a day Patti - you will get there, just stay off the Ipod. Otherwise, at 3 a night, you could be looking at another two months to get the quilting done.

My Jane is going all over the place - from my lap to the foot stool, to the end table, to the car, back to the house to the dining room, to the foot stool - get the idea.

I have gotten a second side of triangles sewn on and the third is pinned, but I'm not in the mood to fight with her tonight. We are going to Santa Fe, so she'll go with me there, too. I can't piece in the car as it's just too bumpy and swervy. I read instead.

I have to get up and go to another room to use the computer, so I get distracted in the traveling back & forth - oh, yeah, it's called cleaning. I see something that needs attention and I give it. Dust down here is a protective furniture coating!

    Go Patti go!

I have been sewing like crazy, there is something about getting close that is energizing!

To the finish, I have remaining 5 blocks, 6 tris, all 4 corners...15 total, as of this evening. I am hoping to finish the blocks this week. Of course, after all the blocks are done there is still a lot of work to assemble and finish but it feels good to be this close! :D :D :D

Doesn't it, though? However, once I had finished assembling the center, I had a big let down feeling. I charged right ahead and got all the tris done. Now they are in rows and 2 of them are sewn to the center, one more is pinned and the 4th is folded on the end table. Four narrow borders are waiting to be sewn on, but first I need to mark the scallops on them.

WOW you are all charging ahead. Still on my projects, wish I hadnīt got so involved now but well such is life. should finish the cushions for the charity quilt today. Just got the eyes to sew on a teddy bear and then the others are not urgent as such just as and when so then I will get back to Jane. I am itching to do it.

I'm hoping that when I get all the blocks quilted it will be a breeze to put the thing together Kathy, but we'll see! I got busy last night and did 4 blocks. I'll try to do better from here on out so that I don't take forever to finish her. Kathy, I sure know what you mean...my house hasn't been cleaned since Jan. when I started this!

Wil!! Go girl GO!! Its exciting to make such progress huh? I still lack 3 of the corners..they look hard too, except for that one with the applique that I plan to put the block count info and such on.

Elle..you'll be caught back up in no time. There isn't any penalty for being behind..you do have a few other things to do.

Patti, I actually found that the corners were easier than I thought. I guess because, for the most part, the pieces are bigger. That bugger which has 75 pieces starts out small, but grows quickly.

I feel like I am fighting with the center to let me get the border tris on. If seems to be pulling against me as I pin/sew. I'm sure I wouldn't be able to machine sew this part. Hopefully, the plain muslin borders will be a snap to add.

Patti, it is nice to feel I may actually finish all the blocks this year!!!

So Kathy, please explain the center/border tri challenge? I plan to sew my Jane on my machine, you are scaring me half silly. Are you sewing on scallops after you attach the tris?
