I had a cousin who's dog ended up being called "Too late" because it was always late for meals and it's siblings had cleaned the bowls. (But he got his bowl refilled! :-P )

We adopted a cat from a shelter and they told us "his" name was Mike. I told the lady it was a girl cat and she was firm it was a boy. Vet agreed with me. Her name is still Mike. Go Away does sound a little harsh for such a sweet little thing.
