I'm not quite 80 (77) and welcome you to this nice forum from the San Joaquin Valley of CA.

You'll like it a lot. Ask questions and you could get answers from all over the world.

Good luck with the moving, and when you are settled down, come join us again.

Hi Ramona,

I'm sure I will totally enjoy this place. I know where Merced is - my son has a cabin in Oakhurst where they live now most of the time. Love the mountains and the peaceful life.

How is your uncle doing learning computer? I'm sure I have only scratched the surface of what a computer can do but that is ok for me.
Yes, my name is Jill-Ramona is in the mountains in north-east San Diego (about an hour from Mexican border)-inland from the coast in Oceanside/Carlsbad area. My uncle can run (not physically!) circles around me on the computer. Being not as mobile as he use to be, it is a good hoby for him and a way to "get out more"without leaving his den.

Waving from Sacramento. You already mastered the first hurdle: Getting registered with this lovely group and posting messages. The rest is easy. As long as you can see what you are doing and can still thread a needle, you'll do fine.
