I have found a web site, where the lady who owns it, will cut YOUR fabric for you! I have problems with coordination, so I have sent some to her to be cut. Great turn around time, and everything is as I ask. PM me if you want info...

This is $17.34 per yard !!!!!!!!!!!!

2.5" x 5" = 12.5 sq" to the piece
12.5 sq" x 40 pcs = 500 sq" to the set
500 sq" x 8 sets = 4000 sq" to the Candy Bar offer

36" x 41" = 1476 sq" to a yd of quilter's fabric

4000 sq" per Candy Bar offer divided by 1476 sq" per yd of quilter's fabric = 2.71 yds of quilter's fabric in the Candy Bar offer

$46.99 cost divided by 2.71 yds of quilter's fabric in Candy Bar offer = $17.34 per yard !!!!!!!!

Waaaay too rich for my blood. Or my pocketbook either.

I don't think that's is a question of "so stupid." I just think that some people would rather have the convenience of having things cut and ready to go. Also, some people have problems with their hands and can't cut all that fabric. Arthritis is a big issue with us old folk.

Pat I agree with you totally, as we age our joints just aren't what they used to be and cutting all those little stripes can be a problem and a frustration for us.

Just when those of us with arthritis think we've found another helpful way to minimize our cutting the price per yard gives us a heart attack. AccuGo does several cuts but that's not cheap either. I hate the thought of having to give up quilting because the cost of more convenient options are out of question on my social security budget.

This is why they keep offering all these cut up pieces, more bucks. Interesting too, that when all cut up into small pieces, a little flaw that once would have rendered a cut unsaleable, can be discarded and sold for MORE! Thanks for doing the math, its why I cut my own. Yes I was scared to death of a rotary cutter until I found the one from grace with the ridge on the ruler, now I feel very safe. :-)

i like the precuts although I haven't bought any - it's seeing the pats and colors that mix so well. It's nice to know they are there w/having arthritis and carpal tunnel issues - it can get a little tough cutting and down the road may turn to those precuts.

One thing I can see might happen, to fill the gap we see coming between convenience and cost,
is that someone such as members of this Board with younger bones and joints might cut these "new and interesting" shapes that come into fashion from time to time,
and sell them here at certainly more reasonable prices.

We are not limited to purchasing only from "the usual suspects" of commercial businesses.

I'm just sayin'.
