It might be good thing for me since I like to hand-baste.

I've done very minimal hand quilting with warm and natural. I have read that it's not the easiest but since I only do that on wall hangings I still used it.

I iron it with some fabric laying on top of it.

I've had good results washing warm and natural - but I purchased mine maybe 15 years ago now - dries beautifully.

Quilter's Dream packaging says "Do Not Wash" and supposedly shrinks only about 1%. The lady that did the quilting for that quilt said it worked up nicely - but when I took it out of the package (king size batt) - it stayed wrinkled and warped - I did the mist and dryer thing - and it still seemed warped.

Yep, I have done that too with medium heat. But I usually press it with my steam iron and let it sit on my big table and relax for a while. You could hang it over a drying rack too.

This is what I do too....if you steam it a little, it will also go ahead and shrink. However, if you want the old-fashioned "quilted" look, just use a hot iron. :D
