Amen! the best time is doing hand quilting when no one else is around. But, what's funny is that the cats can hear the needle going through the fabric from all over the house.

When my house and laundry are 'caught up' and no one is going to be home allllll day or night!

No guilty feelings while playing!

That's the kind of day I had today :) :) :)

I'm happiest when a block is finished, pressed and you check to see if it came out the correct size ----and it did!

I am happiest when I do my own designs.I love seeing the end result. If it messes up,then noone else has a pattern like it to compare it to.

when I have something in mind or a reason. I got started early making my Christmas gifts and they are all done. Since then, I have had a quilting block. I go in there and see that material and even get my books down to look for something to inspire me, and nothing happens... outside of some grandmother's garden pieces I keep in the living room to work on at night, I am just stalled.

I have to agree with rkayd. Sorting fabric, picking out some for a project, cutting, piecing.. I love it all. Tonight I lost myself in matching up fabrics to make an 8 piece set of wine glass coasters as I saw here on the board. Purples and greens were the requested colors. I happen to know the DW in this family is a breast cancer survivor and I have some pink ribbon fabric. I plan to make an extra one just for her with that.
