Thank -you for getting the word out on this quilt. The more people who know .. the better the odds of getting it back to the owner.

My hope is that this does not keep people from displaying these wonderful works.

What a shame. There are really sick people out there. Remember when Clorax was poured on a quilt in a show a few years ago? Maybe Dallas, I don't remember.

It is just AWEFUL that someone would steal a quilt. Fortunately it is a very distinct quilt. If it was stolen to sell the culpret will be busted. I do hope it is found soon and returned to it's rightful owner. Best of luck! My eyes are peeled and on alert

Oh this is just horrible! I immediately "shared" the link to my Facebook and hope everybody does that. We can really get the word out about this theft.

so my question is how can someone get away with this all the people milling around and NO ONE noticed someone packing out a huge a** quilt? do they not have like a door checker or something? i would think they would with items that are sometimes quite priceless. i know this may seem a little paranoid but unfortunately this is what our world has become. and like someone said about the vendor who had a kit stolen she probably would have gave it to the person shame shame on these people!

I think that what comes 'round goes 'round, and whoever stole that quilt will soon lose something very dear to him/her. I hope it's soon, and I hope it's really something super important to that person.

We had the word out on our "Twin Towers quilt" for several months but never heard a word. This Hancock's also happened to be in a heavy crime part of town. The store closed soon after this happened. What surprised me was that Hancock'r never made any offer for reimbursement. Their comment was at your own risk. We do not display any of our work now unless it's in a privately owned quilt or fabric shop. I know it's whistlin' in the wind but I would love to see that quilt again. We even had a couple of members who lost family in the towers.

This is all too sad, I just hope the person who steals quilts needs them worse than we do.
