The colours are what strikes me. I'm a new quilter and this was a good object lesson for me... Awesome!

This is probably the most organized D9P I have seen. I like your color choices. I hope to make at least one next year and I will certainly keep this one in mind when I select my colors.

Beautiful quilt top. Don't give up on that flannel sheet backing - could you applique a freeform shape to cover the stain? I did this with a piece of backing before quilting and it was the topic of the day at my next guild meeting.
