Mixed the pie crust on Sat. and cooked the pumpkin pie for Sun. dinner. It was so good, we finished 1/2 the pie, it's a deep dish pie used 3 1/2 cups of pumpkin.

I can attest to the french pie crust being really good, I used the golden crisco. Thank you for the recipe- n2scraplvr

Your welcome, littleone!! That pie sure looks good!! Are you going to serve all of us a slice? haha. I like the slight taste of sugar in each bite that makes this crust so different and I love the stretchiness of the dough!! And then I do love thick pie crust too! I'm so glad you tried my recipe and it sure turned out wonderful!!!

Oh....my, I can actually make a pie crust. Thanks to all for the wonderful receipes, I made two for Thanksgiving, and one for me for later this wk. My Goodness, I shocked myself, so flaky....much better than the store bought. DD asked if were different and I told her about all of you sharing your recipes, now she want the recipes. Thanks again.

Oh, you're so welcome! It was so good to hear!! Now you have confidence in making a good pie from scratch and yes they are so much better than store bought any day!! Be sure and check out the recipe I gave to Brendadawg who said she just couldn't make pie crust. I think it's on the previous page. It's called no fail crust. Anyway, it's a winner too! Thank you so much, ljordan1029, for those nice comments!! Hope your daughter enjoys the recipes too! :D :D

OK, this one has my curiosity I am going to have to make another pie. I think I will try Peach's mock pecan pie.
