Well I took my chocolate last night, and today we put up our Christmas decorations. I need a shower before I touch my fabulous fabric. But now I have another problem. Looked in the box of my tree skirt and placemats. I will absolutely need new quilted ones! So shower then more chocolate....and on to the next project.

Did you know that Dolly Pardon has her "coat of many colors" On display in her museum at Dollywood in The Great Smokey Mountains of Tenn. Been there many times up till a few yrs ago. It is a GREAT place to go. Check on the net about it.

I really think that we are blessed to have this addiction. How sad for those people that don't have this passion, and miss "seeing" things the way we do!

I was once putting the dental bib on a male patient, making small talk before his cleaning, when, all of a sudden I realized the I really "needed" to have his shirt for a quilt, and before I knew it, I had said it out loud. Poor man thought I was crazy.

It's in the DNA of every quilter, I believe. When I was employed I used to have to drive up to 5 hours between clients in remote areas of NSW. During every season, I noticed that the colours in my quilts reflected the colours of the vegetation/flowers that were in the paddocks and growing along the roads.

I work in a sheet metal shop and see quilt patterns in sheet metal stainless and in copper. Today I bought the Dremel Trio and am going to try and make my own groovy boards, so that I have more patterns when I use my HQ.

I teach little kids and we have blocks of different colors and shapes called tangrams. They are used to make a picture on a card. I love to let the kids just put the shapes together in pretty patterns and shapes....I am always thinking..wow wish i had my camera what an awesome quilt block that would make!!!!!

dh took me to the adams (john & john quincy) homestead for my birthday last august... @ the last house (name escapes me at the moment) there is a separate outbuilding which was the first presidential type library...

while we were in there (on a tour with park rangers) i was kneeling on the floor... the mosaic was an ohio star pattern...

the ranger told me i was the 3rd woman to tell him that...
