Now, for the cabinet.....it measures 17 7\8"x31" with an opening that measures 16 5\8"x11 1\2".....the opening cover lifts toward the user and then folds into thirds which then fold into the machine...I have never seen one like this before...but for $2.50 I didn't think I could go wrong......inside the folding part of the top is 308D---I don't know if this means anything or not. I will have to see if any of my machines will fit into this....

You have machines from New Jersey, Scotland, Connecticut, Taichung Taiwan, Germany, and who knows where else!
Have fun playing with all those machines. I have a Pfaff 130, it was my Mother's. In fact, I have been sewing with it all day piecing a quilt for a granddaughter. My Pfaff 130 is in a tad better shape, but what a work horse that machine is.

NICE! What a great day for you! Pruplefiend has a 237 that she gave a motorectomy and dropped the head into a treadle. She loves that machine. Do you own any treadles? Cute cabinet too; that looks like a fun project to restore. I love the side box.[/quote]
You can see pictures of my Singer 237 on page 465. We're making paper pieced kite blocks in the picture with me.
