Welcome to the Board. I used to live in Milwaukee. Isn't this a bit early for January temps? I don't remember weather that cold this soon. Brrrrr! While I miss a lot about Milw. & Wisconsin, I don't miss the sub-zero temps one little bit!

I am new to this forum and pretty new to quilting but have found that I love doing it! Wisconsin is pretty nice in the summer, (what we have of summer!) and we had an Indian summer this year so our colors in fall lasted a little longer than usual but the winters here are so long and cold! We leave after we have had Christmas with our family and go to Florida. Although right now they are having a cold spell too!

We go to a little town about 30 miles east of Ft.Myers. (LaBelle) My very first quilting project was a queen-sized quilt for my oldest daughter. (Porcelain Around The World) or Trip Around The World. Then my middle daughter chose the same one in different colors of course! And now this year, while we are there, I'll be doing a Log Cabin (queen) for our youngest. We've gotten about 14 to 16 inches of snow since yesterday!
