I also am a retired RN. I worked in just about every area except surgery. Had an accident, hurt my feet, so I just retired. Loving staying home with my self-employed hubby.

I was a factory worker /crafter all my life.I am now disabled with ruptured discs in my neck and fibro.I still love woodworking and quilting.I just can't do as much as I would like,it is all I think about. My daughter and I bought a long arm and I hope to supplement my social security with a little quilting.I also have 4 rescue dogs.they are so sweet -yet so mistreated as puppies.

I'm a medical transcriptionist. I work from home. With no boss standing over my shoulder I daydream about quilting some but don't tell him that.

First I am a Stay at home mom/domestic goddess....But I also work in the scrapbook industry (creating projects for manufacturers; creating projects for paper crafting magazines) and...I also decorate ice cream cakes once a week.

You are the second woman I've met on a board who is working towards the same career goal. Interesting.
That's ironic...when I started college in 1992 (at 33) I didn't know what I wanted to be, so I took an aptitude test. When it came back I was shocked to hear that I was best suited to be a Funeral Director! I asked where that answer came from and was told that I had very high organizational capabilities along with a high degree of compassion. I passed and got my degree in business administration. Now, at 51, I wish I had listened to them

Do you do Hospice too? It's a very satisfying branch of nursing.

Our branch doesn't have hospice, but the Houston branch does. I worked oncology years ago. I have to say that working with dying pts and their families was the fufilling nursing job I ever had.
