I had just read your post about 'no stress' & feeling sad for you because you DD is in Afghanistan. I was in that spot last year so know how 'emotional' it can be.
Then I see this post - oh, what a wonderful hubby you have knowing just what you needed to chase those blues away.
A merry, merry Christmas to both of you! (grandkiddies too)

I don't feel awful about the gift. I feel bad that our DD has to go to Afghanistan again. And I really miss her.

I'm sure no one wants you to feel awful. You have a wonderful support system in your husband. I hope your DD will be back before you know it. Enjoy!

That's exciting. You can be proud of your daughter. That's the only way you'll get through this. My son was in the Marine corps eight years and was in some tight spots. My thoughts are with you.

My dh just deployed and I bought myself an embroidery machine for Christmas.

I understand how you feel about having your daughter over there. It is really hard.

Too late to edit - I apologize to the United states Marine Corps for not capitalizing Corps.

I currently have a GD in the USMC - she's stateside, but her fiance is in Afghanistan, a GS in the Army awaiting orders and another GS in the Navy.
