I finished this top this summer and still have not decided on how to quilt it. I only have a short arm machine and could do meanadering on it....or do I send it out to someone with a long arm,,,decisions...decisions..decisions....I really like how it turned out and now don't want to take away from the look

I'll bet a good long armer could really do a lot with that. It's a beautiful quilt. To me it cries for lots of feathers in those white spaces!

This quilt is really sharp! I love red and white quilts anyway, but this one is special.. There are some very nice quilting spaces where the quilting will show up beautifully and that could have some nice fancy feathered designs. If you are considering a long arm, make sure they are someone who has the experiance to make the quilt sing! It sure deserves it. They should have some examples to show you.

Red was never one of my favorite colors, but I am liking it more and this quilt is a prime example of why I am liking it. So nice.

I agree the white spaces need more than meandering. A longarm could really do something to show-off the red.

It is beautiful. My only options are to quilt it myself.

I would get a nice feathers template and fill those wonderful empty spaces with feathers. I would do it in my domestic machine and since the long empty spaces are so close to the border, it may not even be that difficult. On the other hand, this quilt would be a dream quilt for the right longarmer.
