Have you thought of the rail fence pattern? It consists of 2 strips of fabric sen together to make the block and then the blocks are alternating in upright position and sideways position. It goes fairly quickly and even though it is simple, makes a beautiful quilt.

I agree with the Hunters Star suggestion, but would also love to see the two fabrics to see if there is enough difference for the blocks to really pop....

But I think that would be the case for any two color quilt...is there enough difference between the two fabrics?

I did Jacob's Ladder using 2 colors. Mine was done in blues. A dark blue background with a lighter print for the ladder part and the other is light blue blackground with a darker print. really made the Ladder part stick out. Turned put real nice.

Go to the Quilter's Cache website and look through her block patterns. They're arranged either alphabetically or by block size. You can see them all and will know what will work for you.

A split Nine patch would look good in two colors as well. Just create your nine patch block, alternating colors. Then cut in the middle horizontally and vertically and rearrange the pieces to your liking. You might have to add another color for sashing however.

My friend, Peg Stone, of Snow Day Designs has several patterns on the market for two fabric quilts. They are really beautiful and very simple even though they do not look particularly simple. Check out www.snowdaydesigns. com Enjoy
