This is awesome. Stick with it. The layout is the most time consuming part - but it makes the quilt!

I have to agree that the original fabric design and colors were shocking to me ... thinking yikes.

But the work in progress is very striking, and shocking that it is turning out great ... can't judge a quilt by the fabric, LOL.
