While I've already broadcast my age, I want to add that I have sev. friends my age who talk themselves into being old. All they talk about is "these Golden Years" or I can't do this or that because I'm old. They constantly complain about aches & pains. Ok, so I have a few aches & pains now but it doesn't stop me. I have already been counted, but thought I might add my mother, who taught me. She is still quilting at 89 - soon to be 90.
She also still does a lot of the farm work with Dad - was reluctant to allow us to check the corn bin for her when we visited for Christmas! :lol: She likes the job! So it might not be just the NE corner of the country that has the market on longevity.

I am 59, my mom (quilter) is 86, and my DH (quilter) is 56. I learned to quilt 5 years ago, my mom 3 years ago, my DH 2 years ago. The family that quilts together stays together!! LOL
