I think this is the most snow we've had in one event since the blizzard of '93. It is supposed to be warmer today but the temp is still 6. Come on, this is Georgia...I moved 600+ miles south to get away from severe cold. Go figure, I must have been very bad in my youth. 8 inches on the roof of the cars.

Well, it's 47 out now (6:45am) and will get up to 63 today. I live in dry, sunny AZ. However, in July/August it will be about 125 degrees outside - but it's a dry heat.

You must be in south Jersey, because I lived in norther NJ for many years and saw that kind of snow every year. Been in Virginia Beach for 24 years and had the biggest snow ever. It started to snow around 9 pm Christmas and didn't end until some time Sunday over night. In fact, it's the 3rd biggest snowstorm of the past 100 years for us with an "official" amount of just over 14" but that is at the airport. We have more in our neighborhood. Unfortunately our city isn't equipped to plow all the roads, so only the main ones get done. The rest have to wait till it melts. Here is a photo.

We had hail. It was so loud that we could not hear each other speaking. Now it is flooding and towns are being evacuated. My city was declared a natural disaster area by the State Premier....all this after 10 years of drought and water restrictions...other than that, everything is fine!

May - I live in Jackson NJ and we are blanketed with lots of snow. (24 - 30 in.) Actually I'm using this time to get some quilting done. Our town is still under a state of emergency(Tues. ) until 5PM. Which means no driving. Son is coming over to plow us out.
