A warm welcome from Ireland. I will continue to quilt until I stop enjoying it. Most of my favorite quilts are scrappy anyway. Will start saving smaller scraps if I have to.

I definitely will still be quilting. I will just wait for sales and shop online.

According to my distributors, basic cotton fabrics, meaning the lower end solids, will start out at $5.00 a yard WHOLESALE come Jan.15th!

So if you find fabric on sale now at $5.00 for good stuff...buy, buy buy...

cotton batting went up 20% on Dec 15th!

cotton went up because of crop failures in India, Pakistan and China! TEXAS has the most readily available cotton, and medical companies have first dibs!

Even cotton thread is going up 25% come the first, so if you use Auriful, now is the time to stock up if you find it on sale...imagine paying $12-$15 for a spool of thread!

I think the shoe fetish will suffer! Fewer shoes, more glorious fabric!
