Storm at Sea

Quick answers to a couple questions.
This quilt was laser cut, so all pieces are ready to sew. The pattern is very easy, three blocks, sort of "fool" proof (as I am not known for piecing difficult quilts).
All the triangles have their tips cut off, so easy to line up. When all the blocks are pieced, you have to get the hang of putting the rectangle shape block to the larger square block, the center points are tricky, but once you figure it out, it is simple enough. I should have taken pictures to for a tutorial.
I did lay out several blocks because I wanted them to "show", and I mixed them up in the top.
This quilt was for our bed, my DH loved these colors and I wanted it to be perfect for us, truly fits. The double batting, wool, cotton is great for our WI winters.
I LA so many beautiful quilts for others, now I really wanted a beauty for our bed. My previous quilt was a Lone Star that was hand quilted... it is also beautiful, just several years old, 8 yrs maybe. They don't wear out do they?

I pieced this, and quilted it using the Statler. I used a Moda Paisley for the backing, and it was pieced 3 widths.
Wool & cotton for batting... I love this quilt
