I have a Pfaff about 10 years old and it does a nice blanket stitch. If you want it to look hand done, use two threads in your needle and it looks like two strands of embroidery floss. I made a potholder with lots of blanket stitch on it and a lady from our guild who is a good quilter showed it during a demo for hand embroidery! HA Now and then you win one!

Yes, I bought the Brother CE-5500PRW, Project Runway Addition because a friend has one and I loved the blanket stitch. I got it at Walmart. Regular price is $135.00 here, but they often have them on sale for less.

My older Elna Quilters machine has a beautiful blanket stitch. That's why I bought it.
