I am so glad everyone thinks this is a good idea, we are from different parts of the country and we will all be doing the same thing for our communities. I also made lap quilts for senior citizens. I am now making quilts from the fabric I have left from making quilts all year. I don't usually sew on saturdays but i do a lot today. I have been sewing for years but only quilting for about 7 years and it is so rewarding. And it is so nice to share ideas with other quilters.

OK, I started cutting our 2 1/2 inch squares from assorted Christmas fabrics. Will sew them all together, then cut our a circular tree skirt. I plan on backing it with muslin and a ruffled edge. This is my January project!

If someone has the pattern or knows where to find it, for the Dresden Plate tree skirt, would that person please enter that information--we are taking down our tree, didn't realize how badly worn our tree skirt is. Thanks, the old one

I too am in on this one. Finally moved into our home so all my "stuff" is unpacked now. Ready to sew!!!!! Lots of Christmas stash that needs to be used. I have also committed to 1 quilt top per month for Wounded Soldiers. No problem, retired, large stash and plenty of time. (but no money) This is gonna be fun! Anxious to see everybody's projects.

I'm working on a Snowman/Christmas tablerunner with placemats for my first project. I have the tablerunner and placemats made but not quilted. Ran out of calendar in 2010 so I'm starting with this.
