I don't know if you are looking for answers to what you should buy? My main and only machine is a Bernina 930. For lasting they can't be beat. But I also have two old old old Singers. One just old the other a FW. I wouldn't own a new Singer but these old ones are like the Bernina's they never give up no matter what I throw at them. I love my machines and would like to get either a crank or a treadle Singer and I wouldl be a happy camper until some other love came along lol.

I have a Bernina 440QE for embroidery and quilting, Pfaff 1034 that I use for piecingand SID, Featherweight to take to guild etc., Brother 6000i that I keep at church for charity sewing, and a treadle that I think would work if I fixed the belt.

I have an older Kenmore, a 2010 Janome, and a 350 E Janome (embroidery). Janome makes the Kenmore models sold at Sears and is why I purchased the 2010 last year when I decided I needed a new machine (I loved the Kenmore) . I purchased the 350 E at the same time. I purchased both at the quilt show in Hampton,VA, in Feb this year. Got a good price on both.
