Quilters with quilt buddies are so lucky.I don't know another person who quilts. The guild only allows a new member when one quits. That can take yrs.

I have started a group at the school where I work, there are
so many teachers that sew, so I started the "Vernfield Quilter's"
We meet once a month, and during the month if someone
needs advice or just a show and tell they bring it into the office
for the "awe". We meet 4:00-7:00, bring either pot luck
or snacks. We meet in our Library which has great windows
and plenty of room. This is our fourth year, no money dues
or anything. But at the end of the school year when all the artwork comes off the walls, we give a little show of all the
projects we have done this year. I keep my little countertop
iron, and my old sewing machine in the closet, so if anyone
wants to use it, its available. We made one quilt for our Home and School to raffle off, and we made our principal a quilt for
letting us use the school. I also put out there the quilt show schedules, and ask if anyone needs to go for a fabric run every so often, and a couple of us may go, or just two. It has been great inspiration.

Is there anyone in central Ohio who would like to get together during the daytime? I belong to a guild but would like to join a daytime group. Thanks for all the great ideas. Daleen

We have a small group (3-4 of us) We meet at least weekly, sometimes 2-3 times a week (retired). We have our own projects we work on together and sometimes a group project. It is very informal, we are very good friends.

Our guild has small groups called Bees. I belong to 2 of them and also joined a BOM group at a quilt shop.

There are lists of Quilting guilds and clubs that you might want to contact. http://www.quiltguilds.com/wisconsin.htm
This is a great link; just search for your state.

I'm near Zanesville. Where are you? I heard Newark has a nice guild, but don't have any info on it.
