Thats what I was told. You use one quarter of log cabins.

It means Lady in Waiting. Someone on here had the topic of UFO's and someone else brought up LIW, and I liked that better. I've been working on several quilts at one time, so this wasn't really a UFO, it's just a Lady waiting to be finished.
"Lady in Waiting" ~ very appropriate to call a quilt, I think! Although I've got one or two that look more like UFO's lol

Did a great job, I want that pattern. I think I would have to see a quilt close up to figure it out, without the pattern.
