That's a really nice quilt. I like the fact that you used partial strips in some places. Good for you.

My co-worker taught me to sew same-size strips together end to end as I finished projects, creating "jelly rolls" ... it makes stitching these string quilts almost a breeze since we don't have to handle so many pieces trying to find the one that will fit a certain place. You can really get a production going when you have prepared ahead of time + ! the rolls take less space, and the fabric doesn't get so banged up when they are controlled in that manner. <wave>

Bonnie is a wonderful lady & fantastic teacher!! Well I will have to join in cause if I don't do something soon with my scraps I won't be able to get into my room anymore!!! I know how to get started with my scraps but still haven't done it so looks like now is a good time to start that.....

Hi I am doing that also and have one done that needs the basting done and quilting and I will take pictures and show the back also. I am working on another now also. Cannot believe what I can make with scraps. Keep it going. Thanks for the posting. Good idea

I am working on a log cabin from my scrap drawer. It is amazing how much material you will find in you scrap draws.

I ran into some hard times this year, and sold off a lot of my stash at $1.00 yard. I still have plenty left, and now that fabric is going up so much, I'm glad. There are lots of ideas here for using up scraps, and for scrappy quilts, so that's what I'll be doing for a while.
