I retired from teaching high school math--in fact I taught geometry. I wish I had realized just how geometric quilting is. I would have started pursuing quilting years ago instead of waiting until I turned 70!! ARGH. So much quilting time wasted. But it is never too late. Thanks for sharing the pattern.

This is beautiful...I found the pattern but it did not tell me what size the middle square is. Can you help me out with this? I am new to quilting.

I am new to quilting and getting the courage to start a quilt after months of watching this site. I want to try this quilt and have no idea how to figure how much material for each color. Can anyone help? It would be for a queen size bed. Thanks for your patience with me!

Oh my - I have looked at lots of quilts on here. I absolutely LOVE that purple and green one... So very pretty. Wonder where I could get that pattern...maybe I could make one. I really like it a lot and how special to be quilting for OTHERS. I could never just STACK 30 or 40 quilts in my closet - I would have to quilt for the McDonald Houses, for kids in a hospital, or send to Haiti...somewhere for someone!

The middle square must be 6.5 " to get a 12" block, I assume.
