Ditter,
Thanks for posting this video. You helped to show people how much emotion pilots and their crew have when escorting deceased soldiers home.
My son is an Air Force Special Ops pilot, and he flies the C-130 but it has a very different mission, it is a gunship. He says he doesn't go to war, but is there to support the troops on the ground, and take out those who intend to harm them. I can use all your prayers when he is deployed!
On his behalf, may I thank all of you for your kindness and support for him and all the military who serve and sacrifice for our benefit. God Bless all those who paid the ultimate price.
Diane

The soliders are returned to there Home town on commerical jets. The ones in the video are the ones that bring the solider back to the states.
I have a friend who's son was killed. I can't remeber which base they went to to pick up their son's body but... They than flew home on the jet that bought their son back here for burial. There also was a Marine accompanying the body. A honor gaurd and convey meant the plane. The family and body was removed first before anything or anyone else. The family was taken to the underside of the plane so they would be there when their son was taken from the plane. Once he was in the hearse the people on the plane left the plane.

Thank you for posting this link. My husband's 31 year military career started with a tour in Viet Nam and concluded with a tour in Afghanistan. There was a lot of difference between how he was welcomed home from Viet Nam and then from Afghanistan. When my own 21 year military career started there were not many women in the military at that time and being in uniform was not always an easy thing.
I think videos like this make people who are not affiliated with the military in some way understand military personnel and their families are real human beings and sacrifice much for their country. Whether their country is right or wrong is a matter of personal opinion, but they should still honor those who serve and feel compassion for those who give their lives for their country.
My husband or I do not regret our service to our country.

How very touching and emotional....I hope everyone remembers to pray for our servicemen and women who are in harms way everyday ...and especially pray that they never have to ride the Angel Flight
