I would never ever use a brand of cotton again if it did that to me. I always use Schmetz Jeans needle, size 12 normally and my favourite thread of all time is "Threadart" own. http://www.threadart.com/shop/category.aspx?catid=6 I gulp and pay the postage as their prices are so reasonable and the quality of their thread is superb. I buy the large cones and small spools of variegated threads, and have done so for nigh on 5 years and never had any problems with them.
