Hi all. I had meant to add the names of the blocks I did and somehow left it out of the post.

The block I did for Mumzbear for Nov was called Autumn Star. It is a block from Quilter's Block A Day Calendar which I use a lot for making single blocks.

The block I did for Wanabquilter for Dec was called Ripples. It was a challenge - I think it had 92 pieces in the 12.5 block and was fun to make but sure wouldn't do a quilt from it. The block was from the recent magazine Quiltmaker's 101 Blocks.

The block I did for Kate01 for Jan was called Mrs. Taft's Choice and was also from the calendar.

Jacquie - I see, too, that you are autumn. I loved your block.

I love seeing everyone's blocks and colors! So fun!

I have never been much for Autumn colors, you guys sure are changing my mind on that, the blocks are so striking.

All the blocks are absolutely stunning.

    thank you :)
think of it as 'mosaic', fabric glued, then satin stitched with metallic thread. i used batik fabric.
i did a drawing first and coloured it in so i new where the colours were going to go, then made a pattern and cut out the small pieces. then built up the picture in fabric form.
it was almost like a jigsaw at one point lol...
i love it, really sweet. i shall have to make myself one too, my next block choice will also be the same theme!!
    great choice roda!!
