I would make 8 (or 16) more blocks of completely contrasting/complimenting fabrics, then place them so that they look like a 'down-home' quilt.

    Or a baby quilt.

Those would make a pretty decorative pillow cover, you have just the right number of blocks for both side, the size would be about rigth, too. Or make two, with a coordinatig backing and binding (if you like it framed).

I'd line them up side-by-side on point for a table runner with setting triangles in another blue.

how about moving the block you show in the center to the lower right corner (where the empty space is) and making just another embroidered block for the center out of a coordinating fabric for a table topper. By the way ,I live about 45 minutes away from you in Schoharie Co. Used to drive to Albany everyday to work for 34+ years.

Looks like a nice spring table runner to me.

I haven't read the whole thread, but this is what I would do. I'd move that center block out to the corner. then I'd make a different center block -- an embroidery design, or any One-block. Or even a solid block of a striking fabric. Then border it and use it as a table topper.

Oh yea. Sandi said something similar. I like her idea of sashings.

How about putting them in 2 rows of 3 & making it a table runner?

I would turn the top row #2 block counter clock wise 1/4 turn, then take the bottom #1 and place next to top leftwith out turning.
Now take the last bottom block with a 1/4 turn counter clock wise and move to left side of row #2. This give you a nice pattern in your already cool design.
You can use it for a table runner as already suggested or a throw over the back of your couch.
