I did several with all my leftovers...I sew all the scraps together in strips then I take a 9x9 ruler and twist and turn and cut out Crazy quilt blocks and just randomly sew them all together...A bit of decorative stitches on top and WA LA crazy quilt...

I am making baby quilts to donate to Indian Reservations. They are losing 54% of the babies age 3 and under on the reservations. If you or anyone would ever want to donate one of your "ugly" quilts or any quilt, I would be more than glad to take them. My goal is to make 200 baby quilts for 2011. With help I got 103 in 4 months for 2011 and we sent them to 4 reservations in North Dakota. I volunteer for the American Indian Council in Indianapolis, Indiana and they ship or take them for me. Thanks..and I don't think your quilt is ugly, I only see it as warm for a baby.

It is not ugly. The colors and fabric are a good combination.

What is the reason for this? Disease? Neglect?

I agree with oma66! Finish it; a well-chosen border will make all the difference. Use it for picnics or the beach. But don't trash it!

Sorry, I wouldn't call them ugly. They evoke a feeling of "yesteryear" when our foremothers had to get it made and on the bed. Another thought...there is something cuddly about the colors.

Your quilts are not ugly. They remind me of days gone by.
finish them and give them to some shelter.
