I always name the ones I keep for myself.

I like star burst but also thought star struck. The colors in it are beautiful!

Stars In My Eyes was the first thing that popped into my head. And, yes, I do name my quilts.

I usually start with the name of the block & then change it to suit the colors used or the recipient. For example, I made a Brunswick Star quilt for my grand-daughter (it's the one in my avatar & yes, both of the cats are calico) & simply called it "Alexia's Brunswick Star". If I'd made it to keep, I might have named it for the calico prints or blue color in the sashing & border. I have another quilt that I made from a pattern in a magazine, called "Sweet Christmas Dreams" & since I made it in yellows, pinks & lots of green, I called "Sweet Garden Dreams". I'm pretty much a traditionalist, but think the name should reflect the block name, to give credit to it's origins/ inspiration. One of our quilt group made a scrap quilt w/ charm squares & narrow sashings & since her husband wanted it, she called it "Dan's Charms". I LOVE documenting quilts & learning the various names of blocks.
