Have a question...I want to "square up my stack & whack hexagons to make a square regular block with sashing, etc instead of connecting all the hexagons together. What size of triangle do I use to make these square? Maybe the same 60 degree triangle? Thanks...hope this is clearer than mud. :)

They'll be half of 60 degrees, ie 30 degrees at the tip, 60 degrees on the outer edge and with 90 degrees at what will be the corner of the square. :-D Hope THAT is clearer han mud. Feel free to PM me otherwise... :-D
