I love the designing part. I have about 15 template-based patterns all set up, but never even printed off!

this is the one thing I can not do.....could you share your way with a struggling quilter??? :) it would be so appreciated!
I learned to finish binding by watching a tutorial that Nancy Zeiman had on her site. Makes the whole process painless for me.

choosing the pattern for the fabric is one thing and the time that it takes to cut out the fabric throws me into a spin. It's really the thought more than the doing. Once I get started I stay organized and enjoy it. I love all of the handwork. My anxiety of starting a project stops me in my tracks. I need therapy!

I love picking fabrics (when I have the $$ to buy anything I want - LOL) and strip piecing.

I hate cutting!

I stress out over picking the right colors and the layout. I love everything else about it.

I love the whole process until I get to the sandwiching phase. Then it's procrastination. I put it aside and then start another one. Uuugh! I could kick myself when I see the pile of tops waiting for some attention.

I don't care for the end when you have to quilt it, I have made two quilt tops since I joined this board, one is going to be a wedding present I guess I'll try to do it on regular machine. It won't be anything but straight stitches, I don't have a foot to meander with.
