Whink is still available I get it at wal-mart and krogers.I would try a small amt. on a q-tip and rub, don't soak it.

I have heard of soaking your quilt in butter milk will help get the stain out. Ask the local museum and see what they say to do.

I used the vintage on 2 quilts soaking them in the tub, one was my grandmothers, that my great grandmother made and the other I did about 10 years ago, but it had quite a few brownish spots all over, they all came out.
