Glad everything went well. I had two knees done 3 years ago and all is well. Just keep up with your physical therapy and you will do OK.:)

Congrats on the knee. I have had both of mine done and don't miss the pain. I am on Cymbalta for depression and ALL my fibro pain is gone. Life is good. I hope you do well and find some relief from the fibro.

Do the exercises. Both knees have been replaced. Only to last 10 yrs. I was told. Would never have it done again. But knees are over the 10 year mark, perhaps because I lost 100#.

I was on my own with no help and this was a tad bit difficult, even tho I am very independant.

The first one I had done in 98 and the anesthesia left me in a state of severe depression. Dr. could not figure it out, until he had surg. a year or so later, same thing. After this experience, I always had the anestheseologist consult me prior to surg. Now, it is done automaticlly in some hosp. I am allergic to it, but give me the wrong kind and....

Have fibro also, and now depression from CFIDS!

Good luck. Heal quickly.

Kim,
I get to have this TKR surgery on my left knee at the end of March. I'm glad to hear things are going well for you, it gives me encouragement.

You are in my prayers.

Mary..Blessings! Listen, the PT guy, told me..March is the best time to hve the surgery! by the time you're able to walk..you can at least get out in your backyard..

this is really tough for me..the 4 walls in my house, are getting really old,to look at! the ice and snow..are not a good thing!
I had the other knee replaced in July..and it is awesome to be without pain!
