Yes, it's worth having it looked at.

I have a 930, and I will Never give it up. I also have a 200E, and am looking at swapping that out for an 830E. Anyway, the 930 is great for piecing and quilting. It's the last machine they made with that type of bobbin assembly (rotary), and it's not all electronic which makes it a really reliable machine. I just had my cleaned up and it works like a charm. You should be able to get a power cord from a Bernina dealer, as they still do carry the parts to fix them up.

I had a Bernina 930 and lover her. She sounded like a content kitten when her motor ran and you are right, they are very sturdy machines. I absolutely for sure would get her tuned up and look on craigslistg and ebay for parts you need. You have a valuable little gem in your grasp. Enjoy her!

But your dealer should be able to order one. I think the machine should be worth it.

Thanks, Everyone! I am definitely going to look for that cord. Everwhere on the Internet indicates the one for the 930 has been discontinued. If necessary, I'll contact a dealer. Can't wait to find it, get her serviced, and start sewing with the little gem.

Sounds like a great machine. I did a quick search online, and I came up with this conversation that might help. I'll save you some time... just skip down to the second-to-last post for information about other another cord that you can use with that machine, since the 930 cord has been discontinued.
