I agree with you. There is a new bolt at Walmart of purple hydranges (sp?) that has been calling my name for several weeks. I don't know what I will do with it but I think I have to have it!

I usually buy fabric I need. I have a quilt in mind and colors. I don't look at names, I could never afford. When I have left overs, becomes added to my stash. People getting quilts from me, are not quilt savy so they have no clue as to which designer is responsible for the fabric

Always buy brand name fabrics - but only buy the color needed.

I try to buy fabric for the quality. Most "name" fabrics, like Hoffman, Thimbleberries, etc, are very good quality and I hope to make quilts that will last through lots of wash and wear

I buy for the color or pattern and what I like ... I don't really know much about the different fabric brands.
