Absolutely! I am on my 3rd bernina and I am convinced they are the best. They are expensive so when you can get them used, it's a great deal. Try eBay for the feet and try to only buy genuine bernina feet they work and last better and longer.

Think you will enjoy the 930. I had one but bought a newer model a couple of years ago. It is a good machine. Gave the 930 to my sister. Hope you will learn to use the knee lift as it is a great tool to use as it gives your hands free to position item under the presser foot. Have a friend that never learned to use it and always wondered how she got along without it.

Absolutely...You got it free. If you can't find the cord, go on one of the sites and order one.

Keep it! I have Bernina 930 in the closet for emergencies. Bought a used 1130 10 or 12 years ago which I have used every day since. They sew anything with any kind of thread without all of the problems that I read about.

I have a Janome, but there was nothing like sewing on my dear old Bernina 830. Should have kept it!

If you can't find the cord try Ebay, it's a good place to start.

Definitely worth it. I have a Bernina that is nearly fifteen years old and is a real work horse. It has never needed anything more than cleaning.

It's absolutely worth it.
Bernina walking foot is very expensive; I think you can jerryrig one with either Nancy's Notion or Clotilde foot and attachment for a Bernina (I can't remember which one)
Always use Bernina bobbins that are for the 930

I have a 1030 - love it - a real workhorse.

If you can find the cord or buy a new cord...it would be worth it...That was my first Bernina...traded it in for a 1630...
