No I have never used them....I do cut carefully. A lady at our LQS had a cat that nearly cut its tail completely off, so I don't know if she even uses the rotary cutter any more.

I agree with k3n. I have to feel what I am doing with my fingers bare. I try to cut carefully and so far so good. I know those cutters are razor sharp.

I almost cut my left finger off with a rotary cutter, so Yes I use mine all the time. I got the klutz glove from fons and porter, ran around $25.00 but well worth saving any more cuts. I get real nervous if I try and cut with out my glove now. IT was bulky( I have short fingers) but I learned to use it.

I never used these gloves before But my Daughter really sliced her finger really bad and now has nerve damage in that finger. So since I'm a Klutz I started wearing the glove. I got one for Daughter but not sure if she wears her's . I must admit that they are hot.
So When they get to hot I take them off.

I use one and I'm not a klutz either just careful. I want to get those suction handle things from Harbor Freight. I'm left handed and even with left handed tools there's often a "thinking curve" for directions etc. that are automatically given for righties.

I have a pair that hubby gave me - I think they're Kevlar gloves. The guys use them at work so they don't get sliced up when handling aluminum products at work. http://www2.dupont.com/Personal_Prot..._products.html

I'm sure you can a pair like these for under $8 at a hardware store.

Wearing one glove when doing lots of cutting beats nursing a deep cut for a week or a trip to the E.R. My pair fits loosely over the hand that just holding the ruler - no problems.

I don't wear them either. I can never find a pair to fit right and I think that's worse than not wearing one at all.

Maybe that's my problem, I'm Left Handed also.
I was noticing that when someone shows you how to cut something it is a challenge to do it. kjym Kathy

I use mine all the time -- just gives me an excuse to be reckless, I guess. I do like them very much.
