I have learned to lay out quilts during kitty nap time or I run into the same problem.

My kitty is my quilting buddy. I have made a bed for her right next to my sewing machine. She sits there and watches the birds and squirrels while I sew. I love having her there. When I lay out my quilts on the living room floor she does exactly what you have in this picture. Thats OK with me. It is kind of a game to see if I can get the quilt layed out before she messes it up.

Needless to say my cat (named Psycho btw) sat at that pin cusion and pulled every pin out of the cushion and then just walked off.

Mystery solved!
My cat does that too!!! It is on my sewing table and when she sits there watching me she will pull each pin out of the pin cushion and drop it.

This is part of their job description. My kitty likes to help too.

I love this!!! I laughed out loud when reading it. I have had cats for over 20 years but recently had to find new homes for them (3) because my new husband is so allergic to them. I am still quilting but now doing it without my little "helpers" and I so miss them! Love to see all the photos of all of them. i thought mine were the only ones who liked to help!

Obviously he felt that your color arrangement was off in some way. He was only trying to help you.

Hey, it's not just a cat thing. My pup will always lay on my quilts. I have the rows laid out perfectly, ready to sew, and she will walk in and start scratching and getting all the squares in a little pile. Also, when I hand quilt (she hates it when I sew) she will just lay across my lap on the quilt to stop me from sewing. She really wants l00% of my attention and she already gets 99%.
