Between the cold and the snow I haven't got out as much this winter. As I am recently widowed, it makes for a lot of long lonely days and evenings. Our knitting group was canceled for snow, and this being the bright spot in my week, it was a downer. More snow may be coming wed

My plan was to catch up on my quilting. Unfortunately we had no power for two days. Did a lot of shoveling of snow. Thanks goodness we have a gas stove. We were able to eat with our house at 57 degrees. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. :-)

We often get a lot of snow but this year we don't have alot mainly because it rains after a snowfall. I love the snow. DH plows and snow blows us out when we get drifted in. I love to watch it snow--I sew and look out the window. I am never bored and never have cabin fever and I have lived here 32 years. I will try to post a pic of a snow storm from last week.

We are from the Houston Texas area, Outside drinking wine and eating cheese. Enjoying the 70 degree weather. Sorry hear about ya'lls weather. DH is in natural gas business. Says to use all you want and can. lol I sure wish we could get some snow. Growing up without it it would be a great joy to have for a change.

I'm beginning to feel "too much" snowed in. When we had the last storm, on Thursday, I just watched TV and napped. It gets to the point where you don't even want to shovel out anymore because it will just snow again. The kids love all of the days off from school that they are getting, though!!

I was a teacher for almost 30 yrs. and looked forward to an occasional 'snow day'...now, it means that I spend most of the day shoveling snow...NJ has had more that its share of it...anyone know the address of 'Mother Nature'? I sure would like to drop her a line to tell her enough is enough...lol...my sewing machine is sitting there, alone, untouched...while I nurse my backache !!!!

Well, it's getting to be a bit much up here in my neck of the woods. The kids at school are so used to the schedule being messed up that they are spending more time speculating about the next snow day and less time focusing. We've had one snow day for the kids, two delayed openings and one early release, oh and one snow day for a teacher workshop day. The thing I really don't like is that we get an automated phone call at 5 in the morning letting us know about the change in schedule and then all the sleep is done for the morning. I'm starting to wake up around 5 every day and everyone who knows me knows that I am not a morning person.
I have gotten a bit more sewing done, though. As soon as my report cards are done, I hope to get more done.
Next possible storm here - Wednesday, so 'they' say.
